One Book - One Community Project

South Haven: One Book - One Community

The goal of South Haven: One Book, One Community is to foster the love of reading and build a sense of community through reading the same book and participating in shared experiences. This project seeks to promote lively discussion among people in our community, reflecting a variety of life circumstances, diversity, and a range of ages, from high school to senior citizens.  The first experience was outstanding as testified by Ann Habitch in her letter to the editor. A full report on the success of the 2006-2007 One Book Read is found here.

Now it is time to nominate titles for next year and the year after, keeping in mind the following criteria. Ideally, these titles would meet all the criteria, but more importantly, we're looking for books that will provide our community with a great reading experiences! Submit titles/authors at the South Haven Memorial Library or email: sh1book@yahoo.com or snail mail to: South Haven Memorial Library, 314 Broadway, South Haven, MI 49090 by May 11 , 2008.
